LINK UP: Mr Play and WAGS: Atlanta star Sincerely Ward

I'D LIKE to introduce you all to a boxing event that is finally for our demographic. THIS IS BOXING is a brand new concept, mixing a night of live 'Blue-Collar' Boxing with Live PAs, DJs and comedy to attract a younger, cooler demographic to the sport.

Their first event is next month on December 17, at the mecca of British Boxing; York Hall and is packed with performances from big UK Artists including FEKKY, Figure Flows, Don Strapzy, live DJ sets from myself and DJ Ras Elijah, all topped off with a little comedy in the form of liveboxing commentary coming from the multi-award winning podcast; 3 Shots of Tequila.

They have recently announced their partnership with online urban media giant; Link Up TV who will broadcast the event live to their massive online audience, which is more than 2 million on YouTube and Facebook.

"Whenever you hear talk about going to a boxing event it’s usually just to go and support a friend and soon after your friend fights you leave; there’s no real reason to hang around," said founder Ant Opara. "We are changing all of that. Our boxing event will be packed with entertainment from beginning to end and there’s something for everyone. Whether you're into boxing or not it’s a fun night out"

Meet Sincerely Ward. You may recognise the face if the name doesn’t ring a bell. Ward has been all over runways, televisions, and movie screens since her teenage years. She is a mogul in the making – who has been a staple in the various industries for over two decades. Her successful modeling career has taken her around the globe representing national brands in countless magazine and billboard campaigns; but Sincerely is much more than a gorgeous face. She’s a businesswoman, avid traveler, and TV personality who is building an international brand.

She has taken a new role to expand her brand outside of the traditional “model, actress” fold, she is set to be a main cast-member of W.A.G.S. Atlanta. on E! Television - the same TV platform as Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

The Los Angeles franchise, which was the initial of the three (Miami is the other), is a documentary television series that premiered on August 18, 2015, on E! television network. Since then, the show has been a hit as it chronicles both the professional and personal lives of several WAGs (an acronym for wives and girlfriends of high-profile sportspersons). The show is viewed in over 166 countries.

Aside from being a gorgeous face, Sincerely Ward is a serial entrepreneur, with her newest venture being Jet Set Culture, a lifestyle company and website dedicated to women who travel in luxury. Ward has been a driving force in selling kaftans, robes, accessories and beauty products for the brand through her social media platforms and international connections.

According to her bio, distributed by E!, Ward is “the cousin of retired football player Derrick Ward. Sincerely is a single lady but has been previously linked to several football and basketball players, but athletes are not the only ballers Sincerely is attracted to, having dated owners of private airlines, gas companies, and luxury jewelry designers. Sincerely owns several holistic spas and designs and runs her own resort wear collection.” She is sure to make good TV!

“They can expect the Atlanta girls to BRING IT”, says Ward. “The Atlanta girls are classy yet still get to it: Intense bonds, jaw-dropping scandals, fun activities, flashy cars, beautiful homes, luxurious lifestyles, our families and our businesses – IT’S EVERYTHING,” she adds.

Ward is looking to use the show as a platform to boost the Jet Set Culture brand to new international levels, while continuing to make smart investments, and ultimately ending up with her own travel or talk show!

“One day, I look forward to being a producer and working behind the scenes to bring other people’s visions and stories to life,” she says.

Sincerely: With your perseverance, tenacity, killer good looks, and likeable persona, the sky is the limit.

Dynasty on Netflix

My show of the week is the remake of a classic show which starred Joan Collins in the 80’s. When I saw this advertised I was thinking “here goes another remake f**k up”. OH HOW WRONG I WAS.

The remake moved action from Denver to ATL, with some of the original classic characters given new genders and ethnicities (basically more black folk are in this show). Like it was in the 80’s, the drama is set in action when heiress Fallon Carrington learns that her billionaire father Blake is engaged. This show is constant action, sex, conspiracy, love and fun. It’s a must watch.
