Witness appeal after man is shot in Islington last night

TRIDENT OFFICERS are appealing for information and witnesses after a man was shot in Islington last night (Feb 3).

Police were called at around 10pm to gunshots heard in Evershot Road, N4

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found a 27-year-old man suffering gunshot injuries.

He was taken by ambulance to a north London hospital. His condition is serious but stable.

Officers believe four suspects - all black males - made off from the scene on foot.

Trident officers are investigating the shooting. There has been no arrest at this early stage.
