Stevo The Mad Man on BBC Three? We’d love to see it

READY: Stevo aka Kevin Stephens

HIS ARMY of fans have been requesting it for a very long time but it looks like a television show might finally be on the horizon for social media comedian Stevo The Mad Man.

There is no transmission date for the reported comedy pilot set for BBC Three and speaking about the project on the Mo Gilligan Podcast Stevo, aka Kevin Stephens, said what had been done so far was good but he’s had to rein in his usual vibe.

“It looks alright but it’s not the raw,” he reflected.

“I want it to be everything I started as. But I know I can’t. My argument I’m having with them is that I want it to be a sitcom, rather than you say, it’s a reality [show].

“Because I want people to see that this sitcom looks real because it’s from my real life, it’s my real friends. It’s real but we have written elements in it.”

Co-developed with Javone Prince and directed by Leo McCrea who worked with Stephens on an episode of Come Dine With Me, fans can look forward to seeing Stevo desperately trying to get Chris Eubank to come to his daughter’s birthday party, employing his classic banter throughout.

What started out as one man in his van just documenting his life on social media platform Snapchat, has turned into a movement which has seen his ‘Spartans’ (his fans) crave more and more content.

Featured in the Voice Newspaper’s ‘21 To watch in 2021 list‘ Stephens’ impending dalliance with terrestial TV is a culmination of just short of a decades committment to a journey that offered no financial reward at the start.

The former footballer has worked with a plethora of brands in his ascent over the last five years and built his brand organically.

Speaking on the pilot which also centres on Stevo’s real family, McCrea said the show’s format featured “scripted story beats [on which] we improvised the material. Laying takes on takes and developing gags”

Stevo deserves this tv show, he is a humble a guy with humble morals. He makes everyone laugh even when they feel down. He’s a voice to our generation and had got loyal people following him all the way. His family are amazing people too. Give him the tv show he deserves and watch all your ratings go up. Investing time and money to him and his show will make bbc 3 sky rocket on the market
