Cookie drops latest single ‘Mobile Phone’

NEW KID on the block, Cookie, released his latest track this month ‘Mobile Phone’.

You may be oblivious to the name, but it’ll soon be everywhere you go. Born and raised in Thamesmead, South London, he is slowly gaining organic numbers on YouTube and radio play from top DJ’s, Snoochie shy and Robert Bruce.

Mobile Phone’ is an amazing showing of his versatility on a trap-wave track, his lyrics give us an insight into his lifestyle, with the up-beat instrumental perfectly fitting the mood to the feel-good song.

Cookie’s influences are his parents, with his dad being a DJ and his mum a poet, so the use of using a variety of words to properly express himself is second nature to him. Also, as he grew up in the Grime era, the desire to make music began to increase, with Skepta and Wiley playing a massive part.

On May 31 last year, he released his first track ‘Dirty Spinner’, which gained 100k views on YouTube and had added support from, Robert Bruce. Following from this, he released two Drill tracks, ‘Vamping’ and ‘Unruly’, showcasing his superb versatility.

This is only the start for Cookie, so keep your ears on alert as he continues to grow and release more good music.

Mobile Phone’ is out now.
