DJ Carl Cox wants young clubbers to get jabbed up

Leading clubs and DJs join national effort to drive vaccine uptake for young people

LEGENDARY HOUSE music DJ Carl Cox is encouraging young people, particularly clubbers, to get jabbed in a bid to help save lives and keep the beleaguered nightlife industry afloat.

The DJ, who has been double jabbed himself, recently appeared in a video with DrKishan Bodalia, where they discuss the importance of the jabs to continue the success of the UK’s night time economy.

In the video, Cox said: “My whole life existence over the last 30 years has been entertaining people in small clubs, in bars and wine bars and big clubs and festivals alike. What I do, it creates a gathering of people.

“So that’s what I’d like to see happen more than anything, that we can basically all be safe in knowing that we’re going out to party safe and enjoy ourselves.”

He added: “We are in a pandemic. This is something that we are all trying to deal with and all trying to work on and what we don’t want is the clubs to not work.

“At the end of the day, we are all on the frontline now. So, it’s the only thing we can do to protect ourselves, to be able to enjoy our moments.”

“My second one, was a bit bruisy, felt a bit woozy for about a day or so. And I’m absolutely fine talking to you now here today.”

When asked about his own experience of having the vaccination, he said: “My first jab was nice and easy. No problem.

From September, people will be required to have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine to enter nightclubs and other large-scale events.

With over two-thirds of young adults aged 18 to 29 having received one dose of the vaccine, the new NHS campaign will encourage clubgoers, university students and all young adults to get both doses without delay so they can get back to enjoying the things they have missed while the country cautiously returns to normal.

I wonder if the celebrated House DJ of African-heritage has investigated the coronavirus inoculation?
It was reported by the English Press that two-thirds of the deaths in April 2021 were people of African and caribbean heritage.
Surely this knowledge is reason for Her Majesty’s African-heritage Subjects to be vaccine “hesitant?”
