The Bob Marley — One Love Experience at London’s Saatchi Gallery

THE BOB Marley — One Love Experience at London’s Saatchi Gallery is a chance to celebrate one of the world’s most beloved and unifying musical and cultural figures in this unique exhibition.

Visitors will be able to witness previously unseen Marley photographs and memorabilia as well as immerse the audience in Marley’s lifestyle, passions, influences, and enduring legacy through multi-sensory experiences, accolades and never seen-before giant art installations.

The exhibition will also include a celebration of his musical legacy through a unique listening experience and his love of football, family and other passions will come to life in an array of experiences throughout various rooms.

Cedella Marley, CEO of Bob Marley group of companies, said: “We’re thrilled to see it come to life and debut in London, which had a very special place in Daddy’s heart.

“The experience can be enjoyed by all generations and we look forward to continuing to spread Daddy’s music and message to the globe.”

One visitor told the Voice: “Bob Marley and this exhibition is all about the vibe, love, the sound and diversity of people — and I mean all people.

“It so inspiring seeing so many people from different walks of life coming together to celebrate what Bob Marley has given us.

“I can feel the one love here.”

The organisers of the exhibition Terrapin Station and Senbla Entertainment, reached out to The Grenfell Foundation and Our Power Hub to offer complimentary tickets so local communities could enjoy the exhibition.

Our Power Hub was created to support the local community following the tragic Grenfell Tower Fire in 2017.

Pamela Collins who organised the trip said “What an amazing experience! As someone of mixed heritage and Jamaican descent I felt a real sense of pride and emotionally connected to my roots of origin.

“To see such a diverse range of people from all walks of life showing appreciation and understanding the great work Bob Marley did through music. One Love was truly in the air.”

Director of Our Power Hub, Rupinder Hardy, said: “Our Power Hub CIC would like to thank the Saatchi Gallery for organising tickets to the Bob Marley – One Love Experience.

“It was a truly wonderful event, thoroughly enjoyed by our members and by our OPH Team, where we immersed ourselves in the life and loves of the late, great Bob Marley, through artwork, photographs and immersive experiences, with the backdrop of his musical legacy playing, uplifting our hearts and stirring our souls.

“Seeing the memorabilia, walking through the One Love Forest, experiencing the Soul Shakedown Studio with other patrons, all gathered to celebrate his legacy was a joy and connected us to one another as we truly felt the love that was in the air, a passion for his music and his enduring message of peace.

“It was beautiful, inspiring and uplifting to see his life’s work and legacy continued through his family, his wife Rita and his children and we left our messages of hope, on the One Love Tree.

“Bob Marley was a pioneer, a poetic genius and a man who showed us love through music and we are so grateful we got to feel that at the One Love Experience.”

The Bob Marley — One Love Experience made its global debut at London’s Saatchi Gallery for a limited 10-week exhibition, which comes to an end on April 18.

Bob Marley’s short life embraces an African-theology that was embraced and intuitively understood by Her Majesty’s oppressed Caribbean-heritage youth of the 1970s.
His music brimmed with the demand for Justice; Righteousness and Holiness.
We miss Bob Marley’s simple innocence.
The world’s African-heritage Subjects would have made greater progress if Marley had been with us for a little while longer.
