UK RAP star AJ Tracey has announced that he will be releasing AJ Tracey (Deluxe) – a new extended edition of his debut album AJ Tracey, complete with five new tracks – on October 25.
Showing no sign of slowing down after a whirlwind summer season, AJ has dropped lead single ‘Cat Pack’; a hard-hitting but playful rap anthem produced by producers Take A Daytrip (Lil Nas X).
The track was premiered simultaneously on both BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra as Annie Mac’s ‘Hottest Record in the World’ and DJ Target’s ‘Targo Embargo’. The psychedelic video, directed by long standing collaborator Hamish Stephenson, sees AJ and friends in a Dr Zeuss style fantasy world, with AJ taking on the role of the Cat in the Hat.
The news comes just days after selling out an incredible two nights at the iconic Alexandra Palace, London (November 8 & 9), his biggest headline shows to date. Known for his high-production, awe-inspiring live performances, AJ has had an incredible summer.
A series of landmark festival appearances, including main-stage slots at Reading & Leeds playing to over 80,000 punters, coincided with the West London artist’s latest single “Ladbroke Grove” emerging as the bonafide, inescapable sound of Summer 2019. The track is currently the top selling independent single of 2019, enjoying an unbelievable 12th week in the UK top ten, with over 80 million streams and 20,000 commercial radio plays to date, and now certified as AJ’s second Platinum single after 2018’s “Butterflies”.
