Nile Rodgers, CHIC and Soul II Soul to take to the stage at iconic London venue

The artists will perform at London’s Kenwood House this June

NILE RODGERS and CHIC have announced an exclusive outdoor London show for summer 2020.

The music legends will perform in the setting of London’s Kenwood House, the English Heritage site overlooking Hampstead Heath on Saturday, June 20.

Rodgers, who was recently elected chairman of the Songwriters Hall of Fame and is the co-creator of CHIC, is widely regarded as one of the most influential musicians of all time.

A multiple Grammy award-winning composer, producer, arranger, and guitarist, Rodgers will be expected to perform chart-topping hits such as Le Freak, the biggest selling single in the history of Atlantic Records, Everybody Dance and I Want Your Love.

Rodgers, 67, transcends all styles of music across every generation with a body of work that’s garnered him inductions into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

His work with CHIC and artists such as David Bowie, Diana Ross and Madonna has sold over 700 million albums and 75 million singles worldwide, while more recent collaborations with Daft Punk, Avicii, Sigala, Disclosure and Sam Smith have kept him at the forefront of contemporary music.

Joining Nile Rodgers and CHIC for the exclusive outdoor show at Kenwood House will be special guests Soul II Soul.

Since their inception in the 1970s, Soul II Soul have progressed from leaders of the warehouse scene to pioneering British black music around the world, with hits including Keep On Movin, and Back To Life (However Do You Want Me). During the course of their stellar career the band have sold over 10 million albums worldwide, with their founder Jazzie B having been awarded an OBE for services to music and the Ivor Novello Award for Inspiration.

The Heritage Live Concert Series is now in its third year at English Heritage site Kenwood House. The series has previously hosted artists Kris Kristofferson, Madness, Hacienda Classica and more.

Ticket holders are welcome to bring standard size hampers with food and sealed bottles of water.

There will also be a wide variety of bars and food traders on site.

Tickets go are available to purchase via Ticketmaster pre-sale from January 28 and are released on general sale on January 30.
