STORMZY HAS cancelled the Asia-leg of his tour until further notice over coronavirus fears.

The grime MC, whose H.I.T.H (Heavy is the Head) world tour begins on February 20 in Berlin, Germany, announced the news to fans on social media.

In a tweet, Stormzy said: “I was seriously looking forward to bringing the #HITH world tour to Asia and playing some epic sold out shows but due to ongoing health and travel concerns surrounding the coronavirus, I’m regrettable having to reschedule this leg of the tour.”

Stormzy was due to perform in Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, China and South Korea.

The 26-year-old who recently sold out three dates at London’s O2 Arena, had also sold out shows in Malaysia, Singapore and China.

His Indonesia tour date on April 4 was not among the dates he highlighted were being rescheduled.

Fans expressed disappointment at the news but the MC promised he would return to the continent, and said information about the rescheduled dates would follow.

More than 200 deaths of the new coronavirus, named COVID-19, were recorded in the Chinese province of Hubei in Wuhan on Wednesday.

Almost 60,000 cases of the virus have been confirmed in China where the outbreak began.
