AFTER AN array of chart topping features with the likes of; Summer Walker, Chris Brown and Popcaan; Davido joins an artist who he’s championing as the next one up from Nigeria’s eclectic musical scene – Mayorkun.

The rising Nigerian superstar releases his third single of the year – “Betty Butter” and has a brand new shiny video to go along with it.

Mayorkun and Davido feature in a comical video where they both seem to be besotted with the same young woman who takes them both for a ride. Directed by Clarence Peters and produced by Speroach it’s evident that Mayorkun plans to welcome the summer with a bang!

He enthused: “Betty Butter was such a fun track for me to write – I actually took inspiration from a conversation myself and Davido were having about social media, women etc the video just emulates the song perfectly. Super excited to see the reaction from the fans on this one!”

Davido added: “Collaborating with Mayorkun again has been well overdue; our first track together Bobo was such a hit! So it only made sense for us to jump on yet another track toegther and really bring the heat this year as Mayorkun becomes a real star!”

Signed to Davido’s very own label DMW (Davido Music Worldwide) Mayorkun has been making waves across the globe.

His previous two singles released a few months ago – “Geng” Remix ft. Ms. Banks & Russ and “Of Lagos” were huge hits rated by a multitude of platforms.

The self proclaimed Mayor of Lagos is one of the latest artists straight out of Nigerian, testing conventional boundaries with his music!
