THE YOUNG Producers are bringing their free event for young people interested in the creative industries to Empire 2 at Hackney Empire for the fourth year running.

On Track Elevate, will kick off with a launch party gig tomorrow (Friday, September 26) at 7pm ahead of two days of panels and workshops on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29.  

“As Hackney Empire’s Young Producers, we were inspired to produce On Track Elevate as we have a good network of connections who we have met and worked with at Hackney Empire and want to help other young people learn from their experience. 

“We believe it’s great to hear from representatives who are already on the career paths young people want to travel and this will help inspire and motivate young people to further their steps, by giving them insider information that isn’t always readily available,” Amber Gauci of Hackney Empire Young Producers said.

This year’s On Track Elevate will be hosted by presenter Samuel Eni and panellists include Poet, Jammz, Shemzy and dancer and choreographer Olivia Shouler.

The two-day event will feature panel discussions and workshops on everything from leaving your comfort zone and how to be a performer on stage to how to audition successfully and overcoming obstacles.

On Saturday there will be a speed mentoring session, organised with We Are Stripes, which will give young people the chance to meet industry professionals across a range of industries including music and film. 

Gauci added: “I would encourage everyone with an interest in the creative industries to come along and have their questions answered by our brilliant guests. It’s a great chance to network as our sessions consist of a 45 min panel with questions provided from our host (Samuel Eni). We will then be including a 30 min networking session for the audience to interact directly with panellists.”

On Track Elevate will take place at Empire 2 at Hackney Empire, located behind the theatre on Saturday, September 28 1pm – 6pm and Sunday, September 29 2pm – 5.30pm.
