The Official Launch of ‘Our Content’

The sports photojournalism programme, upskilling the underrepresented youth of London.

OUR CONTENT challenges the current underrepresentation of certain groups within sports media and photojournalism.

While participants in elite sports are largely diverse, this is not the case with those covering it: representation is especially low amongst women; the LGBT+ community; and BAME groups.

Supported by the Mayor of London, Our Content will equip young people from a broad range of backgrounds with image-capturing and story-telling skills, testing how they can change the narrative in the images to be more reflective of themselves and our diverse communities.

Participants will learn photography skills from industry professionals and have access to global sporting events such as Euro 2020 Football Championship, Major League Baseball, Olympic Boxing Qualifiers as well as regional sports events such as the London Youth Games, Women’s Super League Football, Cycling and Taekwondo.
