International Women’s Day event will celebrate black achievement

The Black Woman Kindness Initiative's Sistas Doing It For Themselves event takes place next month

A CELEBRATION: The Black Woman's Initiative event will mark International Women's Day

THE BLACK Woman’s Kindness Initiative is inviting women to come celebrate International Woman’s Day at its “Sistas Doing It For Themselves” event.

The event will see inspirational women discuss their achievements, challenges and triumphs.

The panel consists of Eugeni Burton, Design2Live – Helping Women Find Their Awesomeness, Nofisa Caseman, author and confidence coach, Pamela Haynes, author, Judith and Juliet of Hairglo, and Abi Osho, founder of Soul Medicine.

After the panel discussion there will be a Q&A to further inspire and motivate those in attendance.

Cherrill Hutchinson, founder of Black Woman’s Kindness Initiative, said: “We focus on the importance of Self care for the mental and emotional wellbeing of African and Caribbean women. Driving forward the message to invest, celebrate and elevate without guilt.”

Each ticket holder will receive a free copy of the Black Woman’s Little Book of Kindness & Selfcare before it’s released for general sale.

Tickets also include refreshments (hot drinks and an assorment of cakes).

There will also be a raffle prize.

Location: Gloucester Room, Ilford Central Library, Clements Road, IG1 1EA
Price: Tickets are available for £10 plus booking fee via eventbrite
