VAMP partners with ClearView Research to launch study into black buying power in the UK

This will be the first research of its kind to focus on consumer spending in the black community in the UK

STUDY: The first lifestyle study focused on consumer spending habits in black and mixed communities across the UK is under way

VAMP HAS partnered with leading research company ClearView Research to create the first lifestyle study focused on consumer spending habits in black and mixed communities across the UK.

According to an ethnic populations projection report conducted by the University of Leeds, black and minority populations are estimated to, at least, double by 2051.

This research will delve into how disposable incomes influence current and imminent purchasing decisions. The study will gather information on lifestyle purchase decisions in areas such as fitness, wellness, travel, hair and beauty and housing.

“The black and mixed-race community are often overlooked when brands are deciding on marketing budgets.”

Christina Okorocha, co-founder of VAMP

Kenny Imafidon, co-founder and managing director of ClearView Research said: “Research into people from black and mixed-race backgrounds can often miss the mark, particularly, when it comes to understanding our spending power, our spending habits and our culture.

“This is why we are excited to be partnering with VAMP on this necessary research that will hopefully begin to shift how brands engage with these audiences”.
