The Stack World and Squarespace connect to elevate women in business

MENTORSHIP PROGRAMME: Empowering female creators

ARMING WOMEN with ‘the relevant information and skills that they can use’ in order to pursue their business goals is the order of the day for Sharmadean Reid, founder and CEO of The Stack World.

Reid’s organisation, in partnership with Squarespace, the leading all-in-one website builder and ecommerce platform, is leading a new mentorship programme initiative which is all about empowering female creators to start their own business.

As part of the wider partnership, Squarespace and The Stack World are hosting the upcoming The Stack World Conference, which offers access to 12 hours of unique and curated events to inspire and educate budding entrepreneurs.

Both entities hope the coming together will help address and remove many obstacles that female creators face when hitting the next milestones in building their business.

Ten applicants will be selected to take part in the two month-long mentorship programme.

Top female executives as well as Reid, include, Danielle Chadha, International Marketing Director at Squarespace, and Olivia Ferdi, Co-Founder at premium CBD brand TRIP alongside others, will become dedicated mentors.

Reid enthused: “The Stack World exists to power women’s communities in every sense of the word, from offering tools and expert advice, to building your peer circle and networking.

“Via the new mentorship programme and the all-day Stack Conference, we will continue to arm young business women with all the relevant information and skills that they can use in both their own personal and professional journeys.”

The mentorship programme is tailor-made for creators who are looking for the support, guidance and knowledge that both the Squarespace and The Stack World communities have to offer.

The application process will be open to and encourage applications from those who are current and aspiring Founders and Co-Founders.

Applicants are asked to submit a one page business plan and the selected mentees will lean on their mentors on execution whether that be for content creation, brand communication or helping to establish a visual identity.

“Squarespace and The Stack World both share a joint vision of championing creators at every stage in their journey,” said Chadha.

“This mentorship programme will empower ten women to gain vital business building skills, whilst receiving advice from some of the most inspirational business women in the UK.

“We’re excited to be playing a part in helping creators kick start their business and give them the opportunity to learn from The Stack World’s uplifting network that spans so many different creative sectors.”

Applications for the mentorship programme will open until September 23.
