Hollywood actor Idris Elba has launched a new clothing collection to support the fight against knife crime.
The Hackney-born actor’s, Don’t Stab Your Future (#DSYF) collection is the third clothing collection from his 2HR Set fashion brand. DSYF aims to amplify the anti-knife crime messages and promote positive thinking amongst young people.
A portion of the proceeds will go to several charities which raise awareness about knife crime.
“We need to continue to amplify the message and drive people away from knife crime, Don’t Stab Your Future is a statement I used when I was ranting about knife crime and was upset about about a young person who had just lost their life and future,” Elba said.
“I want to support organisations and help people move away from violence,” he added.
The collection includes T-shirts and hoodies, which are embroidered with key messages about self-love and positive thinking.
Some of the messages include, Love Yourself, DSYF and All Equal Under The Sun.
The messages aim to inspire better choices, respect amongst people and a brighter future.
The award-winning actor launched the 2HR Set clothing brand, in the UK in 2018. The line is influenced by Elba’s career as a DJ.
The collection is available online at 2hrset.com
