SINGER OSH has revealed his father died after contracting COVID-19 in an emotional post on Instagram.

The 24-year-old who shot to fame with his song My Yé Is Different, a cover version of Burna Boy’s global hit Ye, begged people to stay home to help stop the spread of the coronavirus.

“My dad died from the coronavirus,” he said through tears. “I beg you lot stay at your yards, I beg because there are so many people who are going through this one right now.”

Like many others who have lost loved ones during the coronavirus, Osh did not get to say goodbye to his father before he died.

“I never got to see my dad, I never got to say bye,” Osh said.

The singer added: “He was in hospital by himself.”

Osh said he is now self isolating.
