UNSURPRISINGLY, PIERS Morgan has something to say about Meghan Markle’s pregnancy announcement.

His words have been less than kind.

The television host and journalist said: “BREAKING: Harry & Meghan have announced they’re pregnant and released this cheesy photo of themselves to ensure the media gives the story about their private life more prominence – in their latest courageous effort to stop the same media focusing on their private life.”

Later, he posted on Twitter: “I do wish the intrusive British press would respect Meghan and Harry’s privacy and just LEAVE THEM ALONE.”

The post was accompanied by four pictures of front pages which featured the couple in The Sun, The Daily Mirror, The Daily Mail and The Daily Express.

Some Twitter users accused Morgan of an obsession with Markle.

One wrote: “Piers Morgan openly stalks Meghan Markle. He’s obsessed.

“It’s kind of scary.”

Another said simply: “Very strange obsession with Meghan Markle.”

Recently, Meghan won a High Court privacy case against the Mail on Sunday and MailOnline. They published extracts of a personal letter that the former actress had sent to her father.

She won the case against Associated Newspapers. (ANL).

Meghan and Prince Harry announced the news of their second child in a photo taken by their friend Misan Harriman, who was also the first person to shoot a cover for British Vogue.

The joyful news comes after Meghan announced last year, in a New York Times article that she had gone through a miscarriage.

She wrote: “I knew, as I clutched my firtsborn child, that I was losing my second.”

Since moving to California, and resigning from their roles as full time working royals, Harry and Meghan have started a Spotify podcast.

The first episode featured tennis player Naomi Osaka, as well as others like Elton John and James Corden.
