ETHIOPIAN AIRLINES has welcomed Henock Woubishet as the new Area Manager for UK & Ireland. Woubishet took the position from the beginning of October and was previously Senior Manager Network Planning based at Ethiopian head office in Addis Ababa. His career with Ethiopian commenced in 1992 and his previous positions held were Senior Manager Strategy & Partner Airlines and Area Manager Italy & Southern Europe based in Rome for six years

Woubishet said “ I am delighted to be joining the UK team and being based in the UK. These are exciting times for Ethiopian, with a new destination, Bulawayo, opening up on the network and an additional 4th flight with traffic rights to Geneva from Manchester Airport both commencing on the 30th October 2022.

“I look forward to meeting all the UK Travel Trade and Partners over the coming months, building profitable relationships, and exploring growth opportunities for the airline.”

Woubishet replaces Michael Yohannes who was Area Manager UK & Ireland for the past four years.
