Marie James on turning the book ‘The Jamaicans’ into a film

AFTER A brutal Haitian defeat, Oliver Cromwell’s desperate troops changed course for Spanish occupied Jamaica.

Marie James wants to tell this true story of the five year war that followed the English invasion, where Juan de Bola’s army of farmers, hunters and families, made the land their strongest weapon, in a film.

    Good day,

My name is Lafaine Wiggan. I am the producer for the show “Early Rise” with hosts Rev. Ronnie Thwaites and Pearnel Charles Snr. on the Bridge99FM in Jamaica, sister station of Irie Jam Radio in New York. The show airs 5am to 7am (Ja time) every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. I would love to feature some of the issues and individuals that “The Voice” highlights in our show here in Jamaica. We also have a live stream that persons can watch and listen from anywhere in the world (www.thebridge99fm.com).

I think this would be a great opportunity to connect with the Jamaican diaspora in the UK and bring issues in the UK to the attention of our listeners in Jamaica, the Caribbean and the tri-state area. Please let me know the contact person that I can continue this conversation with. I look forward to hearing from you.
