MANY OF us go through life day by day, not taking the time to realise our goals, dreams, and aspirations. Goal setting is an important part of achieving the successes that we want and vision boards are an extremely effective tool in ensuring that we work towards the goals that we dream of.

To kick start the New Year and new decade, on January 3rd HR Sports Academy hosted an afternoon of fun, laughter and empowering discussions to help young people aged between 13 – 18 years old in and around the London Borough of Haringey create their 2020 vision.

The Goal Setting Workshop & Vision Board Party, which is part of HR Sports Academy’s Youth Club activities involved an inspirational talk, goal setting tasks, a reflection section and networking with other like-minded individuals.

The event took place at one of Tottenham’s flagship business venues, The Trampery in north London

Gathered there were 17 young people networking, setting goals and learning about each other whilst developing a number of life skills. It was clear that this was not only a place where they could learn new skills but also where they could build relationships and share something of their own life experiences.

WINTER WONDERLAND: The young people in Hyde Park

This is the first in a series of such events planned by HR Sports Academy’s Youth Club. The idea is to empower children and young people by bringing them together, breaking down barriers, motivating and inspiring them, raising their aspirations and attainment levels, and supporting them through adolescence.

By the end of the session, the young people not only had a physical vision board that represented their future self and life vision but also walked away with new friends, plans for the year ahead and a positive mind-set.

HR Sports Academy are strong believers that team work makes the dream work and that you must work hard and also play hard. All those who took the time out to attend the workshop and set goals for their future, were rewarded with a trip to London’s Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park.

The event was delivered by Mickela Hall-Ramsay, HR Sports Academy’s Founder and company director. Mickela is a multi-award winning entrepreneur who is highly passionate about sports has first-hand experience of the positive effect sports can have on young people.

Mickela Hall-Ramsay and Chris Hall-Ramsay have influenced the lives of more than 40,000 individuals through their company.
