Daniel Dubois lands Commonwealth title

Heayweight takes just one round to dismiss Ghana's Tetteh

A STAR IS BORN: Daniel Dubois

HEAVYWEIGHT DANIEL Dubois made easy work of Ebenezer Tetteh to win the Commonwealth crown at London’s Royal Albert Hall last night (September 27).

Dubois, just 22, is considered to be the sport’s next big star and has now won seven titles in his fledgling career.

Dubois extended his professional record to 13-0 with a swift and dominant display, twice flooring his opponent before the referee waved off the fight.

“I think with every fight I am improving,” said Dubois after the bout.

“I did what I had to do, I worked the jab and everything I worked on in training I put into practice.

“I am relaxed in the ring and the more relaxed you are the more power you can generate as a fighter.”
