BOXER Anthony Joshua has become the country’s first £100 million boxer.
According to by Daily Mirror: Sport, who have been looking over the recently-filed accounts of Anthony Joshua’s Sparta Promotions, the heavyweight champion has officially become the country’s first £100 million boxer.
Watford-born Joshua, a two-time unified world heavyweight champion, having held the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO titles since December 2019, has seen his business assets grow by over £60m—£57.35m of which came in from fights between February 2019 and 2020 alone—bringing their value to a massive £109m.
The multiple champion could almost double his earnings this year. Joshua will fight his rival Tyson Fury by the end of 2021. If that does go ahead, the pugilist known as ‘AJ’ is set to earn himself an unbelievable additional £100m.
Currently behind Joshua in the money stakes is another British boxing icon, Lennox Lewis, who is reportedly worth £90m.
American legend Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather is reported to have a net worth in the region of $435m.
