ISAAC DROGBA has a long way to go before being compared to his famous father, Didier, but he is off the mark after scoring his first goal as a professional.

Isaac is carving out a career for himself in the Italian fourth division, and notched his first goal for Folgore Caratese recently.

Isaac signed for Italian fourth division side Folgore Caratese in February as he looks to leave his own impression on the sport. The son of the Chelsea and Ivory Coast legend, 20, previously had spells in the Blues’ academy and also with the B team of French club Guingamp. Ironically, Drogba senior also played for Guingamp before joining Marseille in 2003.

In two spells at Chelsea, Drogba senior scored 164 goals in 381 games, and among those many strikes were some of the most important in the club’s history.

LEGEND: Didier Drogba with the famous Champions League trophy

His glancing header levelled things against Bayern Munich in the 2012 Champions League final when Chelsea were 1-0 down with three minutes remaining, and it was his penalty in the shoot-out that won the Blues the trophy. In all he helped the Stamford Bridge outfit win four Premier League titles, four FA Cups.

During his time in south west London, Drogba also won two Premier League Golden Boots for the division’s top scorer.

Much of Drogba’s success at Stamford Bridge came when he was managed by Jose Mourinho. On Mourinho’s controversial departure from the club, Droga explained his relationship with the Portuguese.

“Emotionally it was difficult for me,” Drogba told The Guardian. “I did not understand. My reaction was I want to go; he has left, I want to go, everything is finished. I was in this mood. But then I was still under contract and I always said that as long as I was wearing the Chelsea shirt I will always give my best, no matter what. I will always give my best. For two weeks it was very difficult.”
