The Royal Yachting Association, based in Hamble, near Southampton, is the national governing body for all forms of recreational, competitive and professional boating.  It represents dinghy and yacht racing, motor and sail cruising, RIBs and sportsboats, windsurfing, inland cruising and personal watercraft.

Salary: Circa £20,000 per annum depending on experience

  • Change Reality

In this role, your duties will include (but not be limited to):

  • To receive and respond promptly to enquiries by phone, e-mail and letter from stakeholders and manage any referrals received, seeking guidance as necessary.
  • Community engagement liaison for equality, diversity and inclusion
  • Organise, schedule and promote training opportunities and to develop resources for staff and clubs.
  • To co-ordinate and manage new regional volunteers and mentors including the processing of expenses
  • Undertaking project work relating to the objectives of the RYA’s Diversity Strategy.  Monitoring and reporting on their progress as required.

We are looking for someone who has an interest and passion for equality, diversity and inclusion and who has excellent communication skills with the ability to interact, proactively, with those at all levels. The ability to manage your time effectively and prioritise workload to meet deadlines will be essential and you will need to be computer literate.
