RAPPER MEGAN Thee Stallion has partnered with Amazon Music to launch the Don’t Stop Scholarship fund, awarding two students with $10,000 (£7,725).

The scholarship has been launched in a bid to celebrate women of colour, who “don’t stop” their pursuit of education.

Megan, who has been balancing a successful music career with her healthcare administration degree at Texas Southern University, announced the news on Twitter: “College Hot Girls this one is for you so listen up. I’m giving away 2 10,000 scholarships to two women of color [sic] in any field of study! Apply now.”

The scholarship winner must be either enrolled or accepted into a full or part time undergraduate course for the 2020-2021 academic year.

Applications are open to women worldwide, and the winner will be announced at the end of November 2020.

The official page also states that the scholarship is “in honor of all the young women out there who don’t stop working hard to get their education!

“Women remain underrepresented and undervalued in society and female students are at a larger disadvantage when it comes to access financial resources.”

As part of the application, prospective students are asked to complete a personal essay.

“The essay for the scholarship should basically be about yourself, what you are majoring in, and why you need the degree! Doesn’t matter how many words or pages just do your best hotties!” Megan said.

The WAP rapper’s latest single, Don’t Stop, featuring Young Thug, inspired the name of the scholarship.

On the same day the scholarship was launched, it was announced that Tory Lanez had been charged with assault for allegedly shooting of Megan Thee Stallion earlier this year.
