Diversity set to get the nation moving in 2021

CALLING ALL DANCERS: Diversity offer great opportunity

DANCE GROUP Diversity have teamed up with businesswoman Kimberley Mason to get the nation up on its feet and dancing with new project Award City.

We love dancing, and we know it’s been a tough year and people haven’t been able to showcase their talents

This month Sam Craske and Nathan Ramsay from dance sensation launched the Move Dance challenge which gives the winning entrants a chance to spend a day at the Diversity studios for a two-hour workshop lead by the duo.

On the first of each month challengers that have signed up will receive a small bit of choreography to learn, once they have learnt it, they video it and upload their videos to the Award City website, five monthly winners will be chosen by public vote.

At the end of 2021, the winners from each month will learn the final piece of choreography and will be put to the public vote.

The 24 dancers with the most amount of votes spend the day getting taught to dance by some of the Diversity team in a 2 hour workshop.

Mason came up with the idea after her dance and cheer events business Incredibly Cool Events (ICE) and her summer plans to launch new family event The Kids Festival came to a standstill with the onset of the pandemic.

Not to be deterred she set about starting her new business Award City, which launched in October offering adults and children the chance to make changes in their life through a variety of fun challenges such as Commit to be Fit, Declutter Your World and Kids for Kindness.

Mason said: “Although Covid has brought many challenges it has also given me the chance to set up this new business and I am so excited to be working with the guys from Diversity on the Move Dance challenge.

“The beauty of the challenge is that it is open to everybody, will get people moving and everybody is in with a chance of winning as it is as much about getting people to vote for you as it is the dancing”

Ramsay of Diversity said: “We are both really excited about Diversity delivering this challenge for Award City, we love dancing, and we know it’s been a tough year and people haven’t been able to showcase their talents.

“We feel this is a perfect platform to give dancers and performers the opportunity to showcase their talents and the chance to win some super cool prizes”
