Piers James ascends with single ‘Boop’

Piers James

PIERS JAMES says new track ‘Boop’, ‘is about stepping into your power and knowing your worth’.

The British hiphop artist, appreciated for being an exciting multi-disciplinary creative with talents that go beyond his songwriting, brings old-school vibes into the 21st century.

‘Boop” follows a stellar six months for James. Previous releases from his upcoming high-concept project, ‘Cha Ching’, ‘K.K.O’ and ‘Showbiz’ were included in the FIFA 2023 soundtrack, seized the coveted BBC Radio 1 Track Of The Week spot, an NFL Sunday spotlight and was championed by tastemakers from across the industry.

Having featured in brand campaigns for Adidas, Stella McCartney and Flannels he also recently launched a creative collective, called Born Artistic To Achieve (BATA), to forge links between industry figures and emerging artists.

Continuing to deliver with an eclectic mix of classic hiphop and commercial rap, ‘Boop” is a sonically charged playful track, laced with the storytelling and genre breaking flips Piers has become known for.

He enthused: “‘Boop is about stepping into your power and knowing your worth.

“As an artist we face many challenges along of the way but remembering to enjoy the journey, taking the wins and loses as they come and remembering who you are, where you came from and why you got into this music game.”

Drawing comparisons with everyone from Kayne West to Tyler The Creator and Dave, James takes influences from Hip Hop, Reggae, R&B, Garage & Indie from the 90’s era and effortlessly fuses the golden age of music with a new school style.
