Trevor Noah delivers an ‘illustrated modern fable’

'Into the Uncut Grass' is an illustrated fable about a young child's journey into the world beyond the shadow of home

BELOVED STAND-up comedian, former ‘The Daily Show’ host and author of the number one international bestseller, ‘Born a Crime, Trevor Noah, is set to drop his latest literary offering in November.

‘Into the Uncut Grass’, Noah’s ‘illustrated modern fable’, published by John Murray Press, is a tale about forgiveness, acceptance, and the secret to solidarity, for readers of all ages.

Evocative of allegories and fables from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland to The Little Prince to The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse, the book delivers the powerful wit and sneaky wisdom that Noah is known for in every medium.

The Into the Uncut Grass story is born out of Noah’s own childhood—where he came of age on fault lines of race, language, culture, and class but found ways to love, connect to, and resolve conflicts with people of all kinds.

Noah said: “Few memories in my life bring me more joy than the first few books I read as a child. Either with my mom or reading alone, those simple stories shaped so much of how I saw the world. I hope this story can bring a little bit of that same joy to readers of all ages.”

Nick Davies and Georgina Laycock said: “Alongside his many thousands of fans, we have been impatiently awaiting Trevor Noah’s next project.

“We’re delighted to say that Into the Uncut Grass is well worth the wait: it’s as clever, moving and unexpected as Trevor himself.

“A must for every reader of Born a Crime, we think this book could also reach a whole new readership and inspire new generations.”

John Murray Press published Trevor Noah’s Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood in 2016 and it went on to sell over 680,000 copies across all editions and swiftly became a classic of contemporary memoir.

Winner of the James Thurber Award, it is currently being adapted for the big screen, with Lupita Nyong’o attached to play Noah’s mother, Patricia.

Nick Davies, Managing Director and Georgina Laycock, Non-Fiction Publisher at John Murray Press acquired UK and Commonwealth Rights (excluding South Africa) from Caspian Dennis at Abner Stein.

Noah’s ‘Off the Record’ world tour lands in the UK three weeks after publication, with four dates in Glasgow (Ovo Hydro, 21 November) and London (O2 Arena, 23, 24, 25 November) which will see him perform to tens of thousands of fans.

Having listened to BELOVED STAND-up African-heritage comedian, Mr Trevor Noah, who was the former ‘The Daily Show’ host and author of the number one international bestseller, ‘Born a Crime.’

I can report that Mr Trevor Noah’s Left-wing political creed is only for His Majesty’s African-heritage Subjects, who believe the Liberal Marxist inspired Left offers a remedy: solution, and justice for the skin-colour injustice African-heritage people endure from employers, and institutions in England, and the United States.

Mr Noah has been deceived into believing the U.S. Democratic Party, and England’s Labour Party: which is the ideological sister Party to the Democratic Party, helps; advocates, and represents African-heritage men: women and youth.

It is amazing just how many African-heritage people believe the Democratic Party; the Labour Party, and Marxist-inspired Green Party really cares about correcting the skin-colour injustice endured by African-heritage people in the United States, and England.
