Learn counselling skills now that fit into your future.

Learning new skills and connecting with like-minded people is a goal for most people and doing this by embarking on a therapy course has never been more popular. However, with the overwhelming number of counselling and psychotherapy courses on offer it is tempting to make choices based on which is closest, fastest or cheapest. Yet, if you want to gain recognised counselling skills to enhance your work performance and personal development, or to qualify as a psychotherapist you need a training you can trust.

Established in 1969, WPF Therapy has a wealth of experience in providing therapy training and we are invested in providing opportunities to learn for people of all ages and backgrounds. We offer foundation level courses with 4 different start dates throughout the year, plus a professional BACP accredited training that leads to qualification as a psychodynamic psychotherapist, registered with BPC and UKCP.

Counselling skills can be invaluable whatever role you have in life. Our foundation courses have proved useful to people involved in very different areas such as management, teaching, the arts and support work.

Our goal is to provide equality of training access to a diversity of students, with a focus on personal suitability and potential.

Roger*, who has recently completed a foundation course with us was happy to share some thoughts about his time at WPF Therapy. “The course was both challenging and rewarding – a positive and transformative experience that left me with a better understanding of myself and my relationships with other people. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at WPF and came away from the course feeling more self-aware and more confident in pursuing a career in psychotherapy.”
