WHEN LEWIS Hamilton changed his dog Roscoe’s diet to a vegan one, many scoffed at the Formula One Driver for taking things a bit too far.

For Hamilton though, the results where there to see.

Fast forward a couple a years and now a plant-based dog food company is looking to pay a dog owner £30,000 pro-rata to become vegan, along with their dog, for three months.

The pet food brand wants the successful candidate to record their experience of introducing a plant-based diet for them and their dog, monitoring their health, energy levels and behaviour.

The candidate will start as soon as possible and will earn £2,500 per month plus expenses to cover their own food, as well as a three-month supply of dog food.

Writing on social media, Hamilton, who has lived a plant-based life since 2017, explained the differences he had seen in his dog’s health following the change in diet in 2019.

“Roscoe is now fully vegan,” wrote Hamilton.

“Since he has gone vegan, his coat is much softer, his paws have healed up, he is no longer limping with pain of arthritis and his breathing has opened up.”

The novel plant-based job vacancy for the candidate and their four-legged friend comes from OMNI’s vision of helping dogs live healthier lives whilst lowering the carbon paw print on the planet by introducing meat-free or flexitarian diets.

Applicants must be from the UK and be over the age of 18. No qualifications or vegan experience is required for the job role, just a pre-existing non-vegan diet and a dog you are happy to experience the new diet with.
