Riva currently works at AUREA Multi-Family Office, which launched in 2008. He holds partnership and co-ownership positions with the company, and continues to offer his valuable expertise to the organization’s high-profile clients.

AUREA Multi-Family Office is a successful enterprise business with worldwide reach. In fact, several different firms around the globe have been established under this main company, such as Aurea Gestioni Patrimonialia SA, BGB AUREA Ltd., and Milano Fiduciaria. Raffaele is the chairman of three of these companies, so he consistently stays involved with day-to-day operations.

From 1997 to 2008, Riva worked as managing partner for several different advising businesses. Raffaele gained endless knowledge in these positions, such as experience with corporate restructuring, wealth management, corporate financing, estate planning, international cross-border activities, and mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to 1997, Raffaele held the position of senior executive at a multinational conglomerate. Having worked in this position from 1992 to 1996, he gained extensive experience in the international finance industry. In addition to this work, Riva was also on the board of directors for multiple associated companies in Europe, South Africa, and other countries around the world. Furthermore, Riva oversaw the operations of numerous subsidiaries and branches linked with this conglomerate.

Before Raffaele took the senior executive role, he worked for a “Big 4” company from 1988 to 1992. He had a role in accounting and auditing, serving as an assistant to the supervisor and assistant manager.

Raffaele Riva is happy to have several professional memberships with multiple organizations, including the Associazione Il Trust in Italia, the Register of Legal Auditors in Rome, the Italian Association of Anti-Money Laundering Officers, and the Register of Chartered Accountants in Milano.

With multiple accomplishments over Raffaele Riva’s long career, many know him as a very hardworking individual. While there isn’t an average day for the businessman, he does make it a habit to wake up early and begin working by 8:00 AM. Raffaele beings his day by completing his most urgent tasks. From there, he follows a schedule for what he plans to accomplish. Riva also keeps a journal for jotting down any notes or goals he wants to achieve. As he travels often, this brings new challenges and opportunities. Raffaele welcomes this with open arms, always looking to conquer the next goal and help his clients with their essential needs. Riva is also a very curious and positive individual, which gives him valuable skills in the ever-changing business landscape.

Raffaele received his college education from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, Italy, where he studied economics. Riva had multiple specialties under this degree, and he also graduated with honors. This education gave Raffaele useful skills in business finance, banking law, accounting, tax law, mergers and acquisitions, and other related fields. A few years later, in 1989, Riva went on to receive his Dottore Commercialista degree from the same university, which extended his expertise even further. In fact, he actually became a Qualified Accountant upon graduation. Fast forward to 1997, and this is when Raffaele would receive yet another degree. He graduated from the post-graduate program at SSQUEA, located at Canton Ticino Management Business School. One year later, he would obtain another college degree, this time in a post-graduate program at the Southern Swiss University of Applied Sciences and Arts (SUPSI).

Riva currently holds dual citizenship in Italy and Switzerland. Throughout his professional and personal life, he has learned multiple languages. This includes French, English, and Italian. Raffaele likes to stay active, and he enjoys several different activities. This includes skiing, diving, racing, and show jumping. He’s also considered a wine aficionado, having spent a great deal of time in Italy and surrounding counties. Modern and contemporary art is another strong interest for Riva, and he actually enjoys collecting these pieces.

One of the reasons for Raffaele Riva’s success is that he’s always focused on helping others.
