In a society where many Black women often feel unsupported in navigating their personal and professional lives, Dope Black Women CIC has been a source of strength and empowerment. The organization’s multifaceted approach to fulfilling its mission includes promoting health and well-being, raising awareness of social justice issues, and celebrating the rich tapestry of Black cultures.

Roshan Roberts, co-founder of Dope Black Women CIC, expressed her gratitude upon receiving the prestigious award, “We are so honored to be recognized by our community and peers for the work we do. We strive to ensure all Black women and non-binary persons are empowered to be their authentic, multi-dimensional selves – in a world where they oftentimes have to conform to western and patriarchal ideals about how they should look, think, and behave.”

This year’s National Diversity Awards saw a record-breaking 90,000 nominations, with 120 nominees being celebrated for their outstanding achievements nationwide. Dope Black Women CIC continues to provide invaluable opportunities for networking through digital platforms, in-person events and hybrid workshops that empower and educate. Additionally, they are gearing up to relaunch their new podcast, “Unapologetically Black,” later this year, promising even more thought-provoking discussions and a platform for voices that need to be heard.
