THE MOTHER of Stephen Lawrence says she does not forgive her son’s killers, almost 30 years after he was murdered in an unprovoked racist attack in London.

Baroness Doreen Lawrence told the BBC, the only way she would forgive her son’s killers is if they were to admit they are guilty – which she feels they will never do.

Speaking to the corporation she said: “But they’ve never owned up, and in their eyes, they’ve done nothing wrong.”

Baroness Lawrence says she thinks about Stephen every single day and believes the Metropolitan Police has not changed in the 30 years since her son’s murder.

“I don’t know how many more inquiries and how many reviews you need to have to say the same thing – and still no changes, and still denials,” Baroness Lawrence said.

“Officers [are] able to be as brutal as they want, and nobody holds them to account.”

Dobson, 47 and Norris, 46, were convicted in 2012 of murdering Stephen in an unprovoked racist attack in Eltham, South East London, in April 1993.

Norris was sentenced to a minimum of 14 and three months and will be eligible for parole next year.

Dobson was sentenced to a minimum of 15 years and 2 months.]

The pair were both found guilty of murder in a six-week trial in 2012, and are the only members of the gang that fatally stabbed Stephen to be convicted.

Baroness Lawrence also told the corporation that she believes if her family did not campaign tirelessly – all of Stephen’s killers would still be free.

“Within the black community, how we’re treated, how crime’s investigated, we’re never seen as a group of people that should have justice,” she said.

“So everything that we’ve had, we’ve had to fight for – and continue to fight.”

In September last year, an investigation was launched after Norris obtained an illegal phone while he was in prison.

The Daily Mail reported Norris had been sending pictures of himself from his prison cell in Dartmoor Prison in Devon, to his friends on the outside.

He is also accused of using the phone to log onto social media site Facebook and watch YouTube videos.

According to the newspaper, Norris also updated his WhatsApp status to brag about his potential release from prison.

Baroness Lawrence should never be asked to forgive her son’s five killers.
The five killers of Baroness Lawrences’ son, Stephan, have bever expressed regret; or asked for forgiveness.

Why are African-heritage men and women always expected to publicly express forgiveness for Caucasian people’s many crimes and injustices?
