NEW CCTV footage of a young man who has been missing for more than two weeks has been released.
Upale Kaloshi, 21, was last seen on Saturday 20 May in his local area.
The Amazon worker, who is from Lewisham, failed to turn up to his night shift at a warehouse in Dartford.
His heartbroken family assumed that Upale had gone out for the day or would be back in the morning after his night shift around 7am.
However, he never returned and did not answer his phone after multiple calls before it eventually turned off. His worried family reported him missing the following day.
Police say he has been linked to the Dover area on the day he vanished.
Kent Police, who are now handling the investigation into the missing person case, have now released new CCTV footage of the young man of the day he went missing.
He was last seen wearing a small black Nike backpack, black Nike Vapour Max trainers, is 6ft2 and is normally wearing headphones.
Upale’s sister, Lukundo, previously told The Voice that her brother’s disappearance is “completely opposite” from his usual character and added that he “never misses a day of work”.
She described the police update as “a bit of relief” for his loved-ones.
She said: “It was a bit of relief to see him doing something normal. We still can’t see if he’s by himself, I wish there was more we could see than just that one CCTV image.
“It’s still some unease [for us as a family]. All we were hoping for was something [more information] during the week, not just on that Saturday.
“Something just to know that he’s fine, we would literally call everything off if we know that he’s fine. Or that it was his own doing and that he’s gone for a break or something. We haven’t had anything further from that day [he went missing].”
Lukondo said that as more time goes by from her brother vanishing, it’s becoming “more concerning” for the family, but that they are trying to “remain positive” amid the turmoil.
Major organisations such as Missing People and Missing Black People have also released appeals in regards to Upale’s disappearance.
Lukonda added: “We’re taking our peace from God, he seems to be the only person that can help right now. But people are supporting us, our friends and family, even strangers are willing to [help].
“Even though time has gone by, people too may stop, but we don’t want it [the attention]to stop until he comes back.”
Anyone who has seen Upale, or knows of his whereabouts, is urged to call 999, quoting reference 23-0467.
Kent Police has been contacted by The Voice for comment.
