A MAN has been charged with murder of a mum after she was fatally stabbed in front of her two children.

Obert Moyo, 45, of Pennington Road, Bolton has also been charged with possession of an offensive weapon.

Perseverance Ncube, 45, was found by her two young children after being inflicted with a stab wound to the chest at Dukesgate Grove, Little Hulton in Salford on 10 November.

The mum-of-two was taken to hospital but died from her injury.

Ncube’s family paid tribute to her, describing her death as an “immense pain”.

“She was a loving and devoted mother who lived for her children, family, and friends. Percy was an active member of her church and had created a beautiful community for herself and her children, but she was cruelly taken from us due to domestic violence,” the statement read.

“Percy had just celebrated her 35th birthday in October, and her passing has left us with an immeasurable sense of loss. Our focus now is on supporting her children as they continue their journey without their mother.”

A fundraiser has now been set up to provide support for Percy’s children who are now in the care of their aunts and grandmother.

Greater Manchester Police are now appealing for any motorists and residents in the area, who may have captured anything that may be of relevance to the investigation.

Moyo is due to appear at Bolton Magistrates Court on  13 November 2023.

Anyone with information is asked to contact GMP on 101 quoting log number 236 of 10/11/2023.
