BRITISH RAPPER Santan Dave has raised a huge sum of money after pledging to donate the proceeds of newly released merchandise to help children affected by the ongoing conflicts in Palestine, Sudan and Congo.

Just a few weeks after launching the sale, the south Londoner announced he had raised almost £500,000 for the children’s charities.

Posting on X, formerly known as Twitter, he told his more than 900 thousand followers: We raised close to £500,000 factoring everything in last Sunday for the charities in Palestine Congo and Sudan. Massive love to all. Thanks for playing a part and allowing me to play my part also. Will keep you updated on the journey the donations take to those in need.”

The post was met with a wave of positive responses praising the rapper for supporting young people in need.

Replying to Dave’s original tweet one user said: Congrats, that’s a huge achievement. Looking forward to the update”while another wrote: “That’s why you’re the goat, God will keep blessing you”.

This year Sanatan Dave has received other plaudits as well as those he has received for his fundraising work.

His duet with fellow Londoner Central Cee, ruled the UK singles chart.  In its first week of release, the pair’s track Sprinter smashed records by debuting at number one on the UK chart and amassing 13.4 million streams—the most ever for a rap song in the UK charts.
