16-year-old girl becomes third charged with Taye Faik murder

A TEENAGE girl has become the third person charged with the murder of a 16-year-old boy in north London. 

Taye Faik was stabbed in the chest just yards from his home in Kendal Gardens, Edmonton, Enfield on 1 October 2023. He tragically died at the scene. 

The teenager, who cannot be named, was arrested on 3 November 2023.

Josiah James Semper, 18, of Cromie Close, and Bernard Carroll, 20 (26.12.03), of Church Street, were both previously charged in November last year.

They are both remanded in custody and are next due to appear at the Old Bailey on Friday, 16 February.

The unnamed teenager will appear in custody at the Old Bailey on Friday, 5 January.

Taik became the 17th teenager to be murdered in London last year following the fatal stabbing.

Police have urged anyone with information to come forward to assist their ongoing investigation
