‘Zombie’ knives will be banned from September

A new knife surrender initiative will be launched over the summer, for people to hand in weapons before the ban comes into effect

WORRYING: Test purchases revealed that knives are still being sold to children

‘ZOMBIE’ knives and machetes will be banned from England and Wales from September.

Under the new laws, it will be illegal to possess, sell, manufacture or transport the weapons in an effort to tackle knife crime and violence on Britain’s streets.

The Home Office said new legislation will be introduced to parliament in the near future.

This follows the high-profile  Don’t Stop Your Future campaign by actor Idris Elba and the continuous work of leading grassroots campaigners like Faron Alex Paul from FazAmnesty.

The Home Office also said a new knife surrender initiative will be launched over the summer, for people to hand in the weapons before the ban comes into effect.

The Mayor of London has also called for a blanket ban on the deadly weapons.

Sadiq Khan urged the government to bring in new laws after years of Government delays to the vital legislation.

Zombie knives were first banned in August 2016, but the ban defined them as having a cutting or serrated edge and “images or words that suggest that it is to be used for the purpose of violence.”

But under the tougher new laws, the Home Office said Zombie-style knives that do not have threatening words or images will also be banned.

Home Secretary James Clevery was asked why the ban had taken so long.

He said: We have already taken action to make the carrying of zombie knives illegal.

“When I became home secretary, I made the immediate decision to go further to put forward this secondary legislation to support what we’ve already done to make the possession of zombie knives illegal and to close that loophole.

“So I’m very pleased we’re taking action now, and we’ll be determined to get these knives off the streets.”

It is not enough to ban Zombie Knives knife crime has risen and risen over the last few years we need to get to the root of the problem and give youths a alternative to gang culture and a life of knife crime on the streets! government need to realise that by doing youths will just use another type of knife! the problem is rooted in the fact that youths have nothing to do and knife crime has risen since youth services were closed down the youngsters that get involved with knife crime need a new direction and by offering them academies and rediverting government spending on knife crime to youth services is the answer! the government keep sticky plastering the problem rather than addressing the root cause we need to build positive communities grassroots up for these kids that end up in lives of crime to thrive! this is what the not for profit I work for Truehearts Unite has been trying to get to press for years a alternative solution to knife crime is needed not a ban on certain knives they will just use kitchen knives instead!

If Voice Newspaper readers care to rid London’s youth from the surge of ‘Zombie’ knives; which impact London’s African-heritage youth specifically.

Then, London’s African-heritage voters, need to oppose Labour’s influential anti-Christian ethic, in London’s Labour controlled Local Authorities, and Labour’s deceitful “anti-racist” Local Elected Councillors.

London’s Labour-led Local Authorities, and Elected Councillors have contributed little to promote high youth culture, or youth discipline, or wholesome youth ethical, entrepreneurial, and sexual values.

Labour’s nihilistic Marxist creed, has been as fatally damaging to London’s African-heritage youth, as the awful ‘Zombie’ knives, and the surge of single parent families.

Ridding London of Zombie Knives, could be achieved by opposing London’s Labour-led Local Authorities, and Labour’s Local Elected Councillors: who have ignored, and reduced the quality of life for the poor, and African-heritage men, women, and youth, in London’s Labour controlled Local Authorities.

I call on Voice Newspaper readers, remember, and honour the late Ms Camila Batmanghelidjh CBE, the 1996 Kidz Company founder.

Kidz Company was persecuted into insolvency with Labour’s assistance in 2015; whilst unfounded slurs against Kidz Company founder were publicly repeated, shared and believed.

London’s 2015 increase in knives crime fatality amongst London’s African-heritage youth, mirrors the forced closure of Kid Company in 2015; after 19 years of assisting, befriending, and supporting London’s rejected, delinquent, and marginalised African-heritage youth-often from single parent households.
