BARBADOS HAS lifted all its Covid entry requirements for international visitors.
Unvaccinated travellers will no longer need to show proof of a negative test – taken within three days of departure.
Fully vaccinated travellers do not need to show a vaccine certificate upon entry into the Caribbean country.
Minister of tourism and international transport Lisa Cummins said: “This is the last step for us which reflects our position as fully open for business following the Covid-19 pandemic.
“We look forward to continuing to welcome visitors to our shores to experience all of the new and returning events slated for the rest of the year and into early 2023.”
Covid testing is not required for travellers entering Barbados whether the visitors are vaccinated or unvaccinated.
The changes came into force on 22 September.
The lifting of entry requirements are expected to boost tourism to the popular Caribbean holiday destination.
In addition, the wearing of masks in Barbados is now optional in the vast majority of settings.
However, wearing masks remains mandatory for healthcare workers, those travelling and working of public transport.
People who have tested positive for Covid-19 must also wear a mask.
Barbados is the latest Caribbean nation to remove all Covid-19-related restrictions.
