Gayle set for yet another Hundred

West Indies batsman to feature in draft for cricket's new competition

WEST INDIES legend Chris Gayle is among the big names confirmed for cricket’s new competition, The Hundred.

Considered as one of the greatest batsmen ever in Twenty20 cricket, Gayle has set numerous records across all three formats of cricket.

He is the most capped player for the West Indies in international cricket. He is the only player to score a triplet of centuries – a triple hundred in Tests, double hundred in one-day internationals and a hundred in T20Is.

Other big names scheduled to take part in The Hundred’s draft on October 30 include England’s World Cup-winning captain Eoin Morgan and Australian batsmen Steve Smith, David Warner are among the names confirmed in the draft for The Hundred.

In total, 20 of the world’s best cricketers have so far been confirmed to take part in the brand-new domestic tournament set to be launched next summer, between July 17 and August 16.

The new concept competition will be 100-balls-a-side and consist of eight franchise teams in London (two), Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Nottingham, Cardiff and Southampton.
