FORMER Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor is rumoured to make a Premier League return.
Injury-hit Aston Villa are said to be eyeing a potential acquisition of the Togo-born Adebayor.
17th-placed have lost the services of main striker Wesley with the Brazilian ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury, leaving manager Dean Smith short of forwards.
Adebayor, now 35, represented the his national team at the 2006 World Cup, the country’s debut, and to date only, appearance at football’s ultimate showcase.
The former Gunner was voted African Footballer of the Year in 2008.
