Tennis ace Sloane Stephens to wed former Premier League star Jozy Altidore

SO IN LOVE: The happy couple are all smiles

TENNIS ACE Sloane Stephens is in a genuine love match after announcing her engagement to former Premier League star, Jozy Altidore. Both tweeted the news on recently, as well as posting a photo and a brief message on their social media channels.

Stephens, who won the US Open in 2017, said: ‘Forever yes’ while Altidore wrote: ‘Forever starts now.’

Stephens is currently ranked No. 8 in the world and has won six WTA titles, including the 2017 U.S. Open. American Altidore, who signed a new contract with MLS side Toronto FC in February, has scored 41 goals in 110 games for his country.

Stephens grew up in Fresno, California but moved to Florida to attend a tennis academy at a young age. She and Altidore were childhood friends during her time in Florida. Altidore, who grew up in Boca Raton, Florida is the son of Haitian immigrants.
