I am filled with great sadness reading this wonderful Voice Report about 50 years of Ethiopian Airlines.
Ethiopian Airlines was the gift of the wonderful and patriotic Ethiopian Emperor, Haile Selassie.
In 1946, with assistance from Boeing, Emperor Haile Selassie had the vision to create Ethiopian Airlines.
For this and for trying to bring his feudal nation into the 20th century, sections of his Ethiopian youth and military; inspired by Marxism, detained, arrested and murdered the Emperor in 1975: placing his body in a toilet for decades.
The Ethiopian Marxists unleashed a wild and uncivilised decade of torture and horror on the gentle people of Ethiopia.
Thousands of Ethiopians were forced to flee the ancient country of their birth.
I sincerely hope today’s Ethiopian people; and all African-heritage men; women and youth, in all nations of the world, will honour the former Ethiopian Emperor Hailie Selassie, whilst saluting Ethiopian Airline’s 50 years of operation.
