SIR TREVOR Phillips has flatly denied advising Prince William after the TV host slagged off Meghan Markle on Piers Morgan’s show.

The denial came after a well-placed source claimed that the former equalities watchdog chief, who hosts a Sky News politics show, was advising the Prince of Wales.

But when asked by The Voice whether he had been advising Prince William “formally or informally”, Sir Trevor gave an unequivocal denial: “No.”

Sir Trevor said: “The answer is no. The Prince of Wales conducted my investiture and I’ve never met the Princess of Wales.”

His answer strongly implied that he has not even met Prince William recently, apart from at the awarding of his knighthood.

Kensington Palace refused to comment.

Last week, Sir Trevor went on Piers Morgan’s TalkTV show to say Meghan had to “learn to be Black”, and accuse her of being naïve on race.

His comments sparked delight from Morgan, who has a long record of directing vitriol towards Meghan.

The Voice sought to clarify that Sir Trevor had not met William in the last year other than at his investiture.

A source said they were told Prince William himself admitted to another person that Sir Trevor had been “advising” him.

If that were the case, Sir Trevor should have declared this when he attacked Meghan Markle on TV.

But Sir Trevor’s strong denials that he has advised the Prince, formally or informally, mean that it is now on the public record that there was no conflict of interest.

Trevor Phillips is an Uncle Tom whose partner is white. I suggest that Phillip’s learns how to be black instead of playing the “white man”.
